“One mightier than I is coming”

We admire people who are successful, who are able to do amazing things, who seem to be better, stronger and mightier than we are. Such ones, often, become leaders of others. Did you ever ask yourselves, why are they so?

Answers are as many as them. One might be common to quite many of them: they know their gifts and they know how to use them. Even if they are gifted by nature very much, they still need to develop those given to them gifts. They need to work on them.

Was it different with Jesus? Are we sure of that? He is the Son of the Almighty God, who may and can do anything and everything. That’s alright. But let us remember that He was born a man, living and teaching among people. God, the Father, did not deprive His Son of his humanity. Jesus-God was born a human as we are, so that we – humans – may become as God is.

Human beings are created into the image and likeness of God but we rather concentrate on what our human weaknesses are than on what God wishes us to become: images of Love.

Jesus is announced by John the Baptist as the “one mightier than” he himself was. Why? Because Jesus-human allowed God’s love to flow through Him, through His entire being. Do we want to try that? Try it, please!!!

Allow God’s love radiate through your entire being. Make God’s love your deepest desire, may it be the most hidden intention in doing, in speaking, even in thinking. Begin every new day with words: I will do and say everything with love and out of love.

Living in this way you will change everything, you will change the world to be a better place for all.
