5th Sunday of Lent – 2017

I think that the main story of today’s Gospel is well know to all of us. It is not easy at all to loose someone. But as well we know that this is inevitable. The physical death, death of our body, is a los of this form of life, well known to us, for the life in another dimension.

This world that we are in, this life that we have at present time, all this is passing away. We are created not only for this life but for life eternal, to live with God for ever. Yet, often we get stuck just here and for here and now. We try to put a heavy stone over our dead bodies so that no one would move it. It is no problem for God, yet, will we be qualified for the eternal kingdom?

Jesus says: “everyone who lives and believes in me”. Do we really live in Jesus? With Jesus? Jesus feeds us with His Body in the Holy Communion. He lives in us and we supposed to live in Him. We share in His nature. Is it true? Do we share in His mercy, in His peace and love? Are we healing or killing people with our words?

Our every word and every deed is showing our real and true nature. Can we honestly say that it is the nature of Jesus?

Let us enkindle our faith in Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist in which we participate. Feeding us with Himself, Jesus wants to transform us. It will happen if we – through our own free will – will agree to that. And then, the kingdom of God, eternal kingdom, is ours.
